The Winter Gardens Blackpool is a historic entertainment and events complex in the heart of the town, first opened in 1878. Today it spans nearly five acres of connected venues — from the Opera House and Empress Ballroom to bars, restaurants and conference spaces — and regularly hosts major dance festivals alongside theatre, music and exhibitions. For dancers, it is one of the UK's landmark competition venues: home to events such as the Blackpool Junior Dance Festival and WDSF DanceSport Festival programming in the Empress Ballroom and wider complex.
