Founded by former UK international competitors Claire and James Taplin, CJ Dancing brings a lifetime of elite dance experience to the floor. Having both danced from early childhood—with James winning the British Junior Championships and the pair going on to represent both Wales and England at World and European Championships—they turned professional in 2001, achieving top 48 world rankings and finalist status at the British National Championships. Alongside their competitive pedigree, James and Claire have brought Ballroom and Latin to the screen, featuring in high-profile TV and film productions including Poirot, Bleak House, Iris, and the original Come Dancing. Today, they are dedicated full-time teachers, judges, and lecturers. Whether guiding social dancers, medalists, or aspiring competitors, Claire and James are passionate about passing on the joy of dance to the next generation.
